CSDEA Affiliated Shows
Compete, Connect, and Earn Recognition Throughout the Season

CSDEA-affiliated shows are a valued part of the dressage and eventing community across the Upper Midwest. These competitions create opportunities for riders to gain experience, pursue their goals, and stay connected within a supportive regional network while also playing an important role in our year-end awards program.

More than individual events, affiliated shows help strengthen the sport as a whole. They support consistent standards, encourage participation, and contribute directly to the growth of dressage and eventing across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

How CSDEA Affiliation Works:

Affiliation determines how shows are recognized within the CSDEA awards system:

  • Dressage: Only scores earned at CSDEA-affiliated competitions count toward Year-End Awards
  • Eventing: All qualifying USEA-recognized events count toward Year-End Awards, with CSDEA-affiliated competitions earning double points

In addition to awards eligibility, show affiliation helps fund and support CSDEA programming throughout the year, including:

  • Year-End Awards and prizes
  • Educational opportunities and community programs
  • The annual Omnibus publication
  • Continued growth of dressage and eventing in the Upper Midwest

Shows become affiliated by submitting the annual affiliation fee at least 60 days prior to the competition date.

Interested in Becoming an Affiliated Show?

Affiliating your competition with CSDEA is a meaningful way to increase visibility for your event while directly contributing to the growth and sustainability of dressage and eventing throughout the Upper Midwest. Affiliated shows help strengthen the regional competition network, support year-end awards, and connect your event to a wider community of riders, trainers, and organizers.

Most organizers choose to complete affiliation through advertising in the annual CSDEA Omnibus, though standalone affiliation is also available for those who prefer a direct option.

Affiliation Requirements

To become CSDEA affiliated, a competition must:

  • Be a recognized USDF or USEA event
  • Take place within the CSDEA geographical region
  • Submit the affiliation fee at least 60 days prior to the event date
