CSDEA History

The Central States Dressage and Eventing Association (CSDEA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1971 and is comprised of equine enthusiasts focused on the disciplines of dressage and eventing in the upper mid-west.

CSDEA Mission Statement

  • Represent the interests of our members across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North and South Dakota.
  • Promote the disciplines of dressage and eventing.
  • Facilitate the growth of these sports through education, facilities development and the support of local, regional and national competitions.
  • Improve the healthcare, training and treatment of horses.

CSDEA Guiding Beliefs

  • We represent our membership before local, state, regional, national and international governing bodies (e.g., USDF, USEA, USEF, FEI, etc.).
  • We provide mounted and unmounted education opportunities through seminars, clinics and competitions.
  • We communicate with our members through mailings, a news magazine, Cross Country, the CSDEA Annual Omnibus and website.
  • We plan and contribute to the creation, improvement, and maintenance of dressage and eventing facilities.
  • We support our members' participation in local, regional, and international competitions.
  • We recognize the achievements of members and volunteers through appropriate awards.
  • We encourage scholarship, stewardship, leadership, and volunteerism.
