This event is part of the LONG LAKE HOUNDS  HUNTER PACE SERIES

The purpose of the Hunter’s Pace is to have a competitive event approximating the condition of the hunt field and to test the rider’s judgment of “hunting pace” over fair hunt country.  The course will be well marked.   The course length will depend on ground and weather conditions. You will ride across beautiful rolling fields and wooded paths. The “ideal” time, set by the Joint Masters, is the goal. Riders will leave the start gate at 3 minute intervals. Fences are 3’ or smaller – 10 or more fences. All are optional.

FIRST FLIGHT HUNTERS

Time will approximate hunting pace. All fences are optional.

HILLTOPPERS

Time will approximate a more leisurely trail riding pace. All fences are optional .

Entry Fees:  $40 per rider.  Limit of one event per horse.

Parking:  Upon arrival, look for directional signs.
Awards: 4 ribbons per division and year-end series challenge trophies

Dress:  Hunt attire recommended for LLH members; dress by discretion for non-members. Helmets required.
