Membership Renewals Open

2016 Omnibus - Accepting Showbills & Advertisements through December 15
The annual CSDEA Omnibus is a spiral-bound booklet containing valuable information about local recognized competitions, clinics, schooling shows, and other events for the upcoming year, plus area business listings and a member directory. It is printed and mailed in mid-February to all members, with additional mailings to late renewers/joiners throughout the year, as supplies last.

Call for Von Bluecher Award Nominations
At our annual awards banquet (January 30, 2016), we will once again honor one of our outstanding volunteers with the Von Bluecher Award. This award recognizes and thanks volunteers who have given untold hours of their time over many years to support dressage and eventing in our area. If you know a volunteer who consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty, this is the chance to thank him or her with a nomination for the 2015 Von Bluecher Award.
To nominate a volunteer, please provide the nominee’s name and a brief statement about why you are nominating them for the award. The nominees cannot be past winners or current elected board members and must be current members of CSDEA. Our winner will receive a traveling trophy and Lifetime Membership to CSDEA. Please send nominations to Sheri Pederson by December 31, 2015. Sheri can be reached at slpeders@aol.com.
Call for Silent Auction Donations
It's that time of year again! We are gearing up for our annual silent auction fundraiser, which will take place during our year-end awards banquet on January 30, 2016. Please consider making a donation or asking your favorite business to donate! Donations can be horse-related or not -- a fun or useful item or service you offer. Donations can be dropped off now through January 15 at St. Croix Saddlery or Stone Ridge Equestrian. For more information, see our 2016 CSDEA Awards Banquet and Silent Auction flier.
USEA Considers New Programs
Eventers, do you have feedback about the new programs currently being considered by the USEA? The unrecognized Beginner Novice - Assistance Allowed (BN-AA) division would allow a competitor’s coach to verbally assist him or her during any phase of a horse trials test. DX Eventing would establish a new combined test consisting of dressage and a derby -- a combination of show jumping and cross country.
